ALEMI bags are designed to stay by your side for years.
With the right care, your bag will retain its beauty and structure over time. And if something ever needs fixing, our repair service is here to help — because we believe in extending the life of every piece we create.
Below you’ll find tips for leather care, storage, and how to reach out if your ALEMI ever needs a professional touch.
Grained Leather
Our grained leathers (pebbled, soft grain, saffiano) are naturally durable and made to withstand daily wear.

How to handle water & dirt
Our grained leathers are naturally protected against light rain, scratches, and daily use. Still, it’s important to treat them with care.
If your bag gets wet, gently wipe off the surface with a soft cloth and let it air dry at room temperature — away from sunlight or artificial heat like radiators or hairdryers.
For surface dirt or fingerprints, use a clean, slightly damp cloth. Avoid scrubbing or using any harsh cleaners.

How to care
To keep your AMELI soft and beautiful over time, we recommend treating the leather with a high-quality balm or conditioner every 2–3 months.
This prevents dryness and helps maintain the leather’s natural flexibility, softness, and depth of colour. Regular conditioning also reduces the risk of visible wrinkles or surface cracks.
Make sure the product is alcohol- and acetone-free, and always test it on a discreet area before full application.
Suede Leather
Delicate, soft-touch leather with a velvety, matte surface. Suede is more sensitive by nature and benefits from preventative care.

How to handle water & dirt
We recommend applying a colourless waterproofing spray before the first wear to protect the surface from water and dirt.
For everyday care, use a suede brush to gently lift dust and maintain the texture. If the leather gets wet, dab carefully with a soft cloth and allow it to dry naturally.
Avoid rubbing or using heat to dry the material, as this can damage the finish and texture.

How to care
Suede does not require conditioning with balms or creams. In fact, oily or creamy products can leave permanent marks or flatten the surface.
Instead, regular brushing with a special suede brush helps revive the nap and keep the leather soft and fresh. For light marks, a suede eraser can help — always using gentle, upward motions.
How to store your ALEMI bag
Proper storage helps preserve the shape, structure, and beauty of your bag — for years to come.

Shape & Structure
- Stuff your bag with a soft cloth, tissue paper, or a small cushion to help it maintain its silhouette. Pay especially attention to the corners.
- Never store your bag resting on handles or shoulder straps — this can lead to creasing or stretching.
- Keep shoulder straps inside the bag, especially if they’re adjustable or padded
- For IDA, we recommend hanging it on a wide, padded hanger to support its form.

Environment & Protection
- Store your bag in its original AMELI dust bag in a cool, dry place with enough space around it.
- Avoid direct sunlight, extreme humidity, or placing it tightly between other items.
- For CENTRAL, place the clutch inside the main bag to prevent pressure marks on the outside.
